Recurring daily events randomly change dates when total number of events exceeds 100.

I cant edit the topic descriptor, but that was supposed to say 500. The specifics are these. Using the config listed below, I create a new event that will occur every day for a year. I want staggered registration times, so nobody can register more than a year in advance. I set the first event for tomorrow & the registration start date for a year ago. I set the start & end to the event. the time, & registration. Then, I set the radio button for “No (each event’s registration start and end dates will be incremented according to a formula).” which it does. It generates the dates properly. If I create a 2nd event, in the exact same style, it creates the dates as before, but when I enter “Event Overview” the dates are skewed ahead, for both sets of recurrence. The date that was December 1st, 2012 is now April 11th, 2013. The only thing that has changed is that I have now created ove 500 records. I have been told that this is not a hard limit of EE, just the display. I have also been running EE for more than a year with upwards of 1800 records without this issue occurring. As a test, I deleted all the events in the 2nd series, & the dates in the first went back to normal. I extended the dates in the first series to every day for 2 years, as a test. Dates broke again. This was all working fine before. I though it might be something from a residual file, so I even reinstalled EE & the add-ons from scratch. Same problem. This is for a tour company. We do 3 to 5 events every day, booked up to a year in advance. When we signed up for the developer license, we specifically asked if that many events would be a problem. Seth said it would not. It is now, very definitely, a problem. So, digging out a post in the old forum, I tried Josh’s suggestion that if I change the value in the line “You have more than 500 records.”
“Show 500 row(s) starting from record # 0” to
“Show 500 row(s) starting from record # 501”
it displays the proper entries. So this means entries with newer IDs & later dates are now my first (default) 500 rows? Is there any way to purge my db of old info so this will not happen? Once other recurring events were created, I had to set the record number to 1000. I’m not keen on the idea of having to readjust that number every time I add a new event just to have it display something current.
