I just downloaded the Business License which included Recurring Events Manager . I am running WordPress Version 3.5.1 and Event Espresso v 3.1.31.1.P with Recurring Events 1.1.7. The Recurring Events is downloaded and activated. However, the manager is not listed in my dashboard and nothing shows when I create an event. |
Hi David, Did you install the REM via upload from your WordPress administration dashboard or via FTP? |
|
|
Installed REM via upload from WP admin dashboard – I installed Event Espresso plug-in and all other associated plug-ins this through the dashboard. |

Hi David, So to clarify the Recurring Events Manager is not in your Plugin list? DO you have ftp access for your site? If so login via FTP and navigate to the plugins directory and look for the espresso-recurring folder. look inside that folder. What you should see is a list of folders and a file called espresso-recurring-events.php However, if what you actually see is another espresso-recurring folder, then there is the issue. You will need to move the contents of that inner folder to the main espresso-recurring folder. I have in the past on my local server messed up a file extraction and it has generated the folder within a folder issue, and it drove me nuts until I figured it out. Now if that is NOT the case, then we will need login details to examine the problem. These can be sent via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ NOTE: login details need to be Admin level. |

Recurring Events is in the installed plug-ins directory. It is active. Recurring Events Manager is NOT to be found under Dashboard > Event Espresso > General Settings. All other plug-in managers are visible – i.e. Venue Manager, Staff Manger, Groupon Cods, MailChimp Integration. All plug-ins were downloaded / installed via dashboard/ activated at the same time. Only REM not available. Have logged into FTP and plug-ins folder and do see “events-recurring” folder. The “espresso-recurring-events.php” IS IN that folder. There is no addition “events-recurring” folder inside as you suggested in your post. Help? I will send log-in details with admin permissions. Thanks!

Hi David, Right ok, sorry I understand you now. Recurring Event Manager does not have a menu item. It just adds extra options to the event editor itself. With the plugin active, create a new event (it does not work for existing events) and look for this – http://d.pr/i/u3l4 – its normally below the event dates/times section. Changing the dropdown to yes will open up the rest of the recurring event options. Recurring Event Manager documentation – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/recurring-events-manager/ |

Hey I logged in just to double check it and yes Recurring Events Manager is working just fine. |
|
Thanks Dean…I have created a NEW event and do indeed see the REM. I don’t know why I couldn’t see it with the initial event I created? Thank you.
