Recurring Events Help Needed

I’m trying to set up an event that has one flat fee for a session – it occurs every Wednesday for 8 weeks. I’m trying to use the recurring events manager, but that set up an event for every Wed of the 8 weeks with the entire fee due for each event.

Background – it’s for tennis lessons….you sign up for lessons for 8 weeks and they happen on Wednesdays.

HI Michael,

The recurring events manager adds separate events for each date.

If you just want people to register and pay once, then I’d just set up the event to happen when the sessions begin and put in the description that these sessions happen weekly for 8 weeks.

If you want to have people registering each week then you’ll have to price them individually.

Does that make sense?

Yes, that makes sense and that’s what we started off doing, but then upgraded to the business license mainly because of the recurring event manager. What you suggested works fine, but the calendar doesn’t look right. It’s not one big long event, or only on one day. How can we make the calendar show a weekly event from 1-2pm, for example?

This would take a bit of a workaround. Create an event for each instance (the recurring event manager will make this less work). Then set the events that you do not want people to register for to not display a registration form. Then set these to use the original event as the alternate registration page.

If you have created all of the events in the same series, you’ll need to set the first event to display a registration form:
