Recurring Events for Multiple Weeks – One Day a Week

I’ve done a few searches on this topic and haven’t found the answer I am hoping for – we purchased the biz plan with all the add-ons and have this working on our site – this is an amazing plugin and we love it!
one problem I’m having is that most of my class happen for example 14 weeks in length but only one day per week such as Wednesday night. the class is one single event – in other words I want people to only register for the one Event even tho it spans 14 weeks at one day per week.
in the forums I’ve seen the answer of using the recurring event option when you create an event – and then set it to one day with the end time, etc. and then you can point the registration url on all the events this creates to the first event in the list. so when I do this I end up with 14 events in my list just to get the calendar to show that every wednesday from Jan 30-April whatever is taken by this one event. I see how this work around is doable but I’m hoping there’s another way – I’d like to be able to just make one event but have that event on the 14 wednesdays but still be one event with one picture with one ticket, etc

thanks for your help and again we love this plugin – just would like a way to make events span over time

Thanks again for your kind words.
On Google Plus last night, I was thinking I would show you the way that you have already seen and are currently using… (From our old forum).

But, have you also tried using the [SINGLEEVENT single_event_id="your_event_identifier"] shortcode to display only the first instance of the event on the page? That way you don’t have a list of all of the events on the page?

ok thanks – ya that will work for now – and I think I read somewhere that the next update to 3.2 was going to address this issue since a lot of people have been asking for it – thanks for your help!
