Hello, I have upgraded the plugin on Tuesday 2/14 to 3.1.30.5P but I am still having a problem with the recurring events not being created correctly. I created a 8 week event with start date 2/12/2013 and end date 4/2/2013 but the recurring events created end on 3/26/2013. The only way I can get it to correctly calcuate the end date of 4/2/2013 is to extend the event by at least one day. Note that I initially added this problem to a prior topic that I started with similar issues with 3.1.30.1P. Any idea about why this maybe occuring? |
Hi Randy, We fixed some issues with the Recurring Events Manager in an update today (version 3.1.30.7). Can you update and let us know whether the issue is resolved? |

Jonathan, it seems the miscalculation of the last date is still occurring. Maybe I’m just entering the dates incorrectly. The first and last event date should be inclusive of the recurring events right? If my recurring event last date is 4/5/2013 that should be the date I use right? I am adding hopefully a image of the screen as I tried to create a sample recurring event starting on 3/1 and ending 4/5. |

Hi Randy, Thanks for posting the screenshot. I think I see what’s going on. You have the First Event Date as 2013-03-01 and the First Event End Date as 2013-02-01. You can’t have an event end a month prior to when it begins. 🙂 |

Hi Jonathan, Although the screenshot does have the event end date set wrong, it does actually still show the issue. If you look at the projected recurrences, the last event is 03/29/2013. It should actually be 05/04/2013 (Friday). The ‘last event date’ is 05/04/2013 which is a Friday but the event is not created. The last event end date would need to be set to 06/04/2013 for this to work. It also does not happen every month but some. It also happens on my install. Tony |
Tony and Randy, I am sorry for the delay. I am not able to reproduce this problem. Would either or both of you be able to send me admin level login details to your site? If this is truly a bug, we want to get it resolved. Please fill out the form here: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ |

I can create an admin account for you on the site linked with this account if need be, but I also get this on my dev server with a totally clean install. I can reproduce this on both installs using the following dates: Then for the recurring dates I’ve done 2, first March. The event is set for a Thursday. So I’ve done weekly, repeating on Thursday final event date is the final Thursday of the month. If you notice the projected recurrences the last event is in fact the ‘last event date’. Now April. Exactly the same as above. Now the final recurrence is 04/18/2013. The week before the final event date. If you would still like login details I can give you them for both sites if need be. |
Hi Tony, Quick question here: What happens if you change that last date to the 26th? |

Hi Josh, sorry for the delay. It then calculates the last event correctly. 10 Thu, 04/25/2013 Thu, 04/25/2013 Fri, 02/01/2013 Fri, 02/01/2013 I’ve gone through and tested each month. First event date was constant at 2013-01-03, Event end date: 2013-01-03. I went through and tested each month in the ‘last event date’. Always selected the last Thursday of each month. Jan, Feb, Mar – Calculate correctly. Whether or not that is useful I’m not sure. But a little more info all the same. I will submit admin level credentials for the dev server for any of you to see it for yourselves, feel free to do as you wish, it is used solely for testing/demo. I’ll submit these under Johnathan purely as he originally requested. |
Thanks Tony, We will have a look and get back with you. |

Jonathan, I’m sorry for the delay in responding to your request to access to my admin panel. I am actually traveling this week so I have limited access to the web. I should be back on Friday and can respond enter then. Thanks for all you and Tony have done so far to resolve this concern. |

Jonathan, I am back at work and tried another test event to see what would happen if I had the right start / end dates for the first event and the right end dates for the last event date and it still is not calculating correctly. Do you still need to have access to my system? If you think that will be helpful then resend me the link to give you that access. |

Hi Randy, No I don’t think we need login details right now, but if we do we will let you know. This has been recreated locally, and a developer ticket has been raised to look into it, so it is just no a matter of letting the devs get to the ticket and work out the issue. Thanks for you’re continued patience we will try and get this resolved as quickly as we can. |
