Recurring Events Bug (missing the last event date when > than 5 weeks)

Hi I’ve come across a bug that seems to only happen when automatic recurring events (1 week apart) span across more than 5 weeks. I’ll use the specific dates to illustrate:

The date for my event should be repeated every week on a Wednesday:

First Event Start Date: 2014-08-27
First Event End Date: 2014-08-27

Last Event Date: 2014-09-10 (3 weeks) works fine and 3 lines (weeks) are shown
Last Event Date: 2014-09-17 (4 weeks) works fine and 4 lines (weeks) are shown
Last Event Date: 2014-09-24 (5 weeks) works fine and 5 lines (weeks) are shown
Last Event Date: 2014-10-01 (6 weeks) ONLY SHOWS 5 weeks (last date missing)
Last Event Date: 2014-10-08 (7 weeks) ONLY SHOWS 6 weeks (last date missing)
Last Event Date: 2014-10-15 (8 weeks) ONLY SHOWS 7 weeks (last date missing)

etc.

The workaround is to increase the date by just one day, i.e. instead of Last Event Date: 2014-10-01 you make it one extra day 2014-10-02 and it works. This isn’t ideal though because others in my company won’t know to do this and could miss out the last week of event dates.

Can you let me know if there’s a fix for this?

Also: how can I make the dates in the automatic events table appear like DD-MM-YYYY?

Thanks
Shaun

Hi Shaun,

Can you tell me the version number of the recurring events manager you are using please?

There is a new version of REM available through the Pre-Release Channel which includes a fix for this.

Also: how can I make the dates in the automatic events table appear like DD-MM-YYYY?

Unfortunately altering the date format within the table output is currently not possible.

So I was using Version 1.1.8.p and on your advice I upgraded to Version 1.1.9.1.b but I can confirm that I am still getting the same bug.

I’ve embedded screenshots, below. Note the only difference in the second image is the increment of one day and that gives an extra week even though the last date is within the range that I’ve specified in the first image.

I’m based in NZ (and my development computer is set to GMT-12), do you think the timezone difference may be the reason for this issue?

Hi,

You computer is set to GMT-12, what’s the site set to? It could well be an issue if they are quite different.
