Can I assign unique featured images to recurring events? Artwork painted at each recurring event will change and want to be able to showcase this in month, agend, list, etc views of upcoming events via featured image (or any way possible).

Hi there,

Your license is for EE4 which doesn’t officially support recurring events, so may I ask how you have them setup currently?

If they are individual events within EE then you can set the feature image on each individual event, if you have multiple datetimes within a single event is a single event object, so has a single feature image.

I have them as repeating on select days.

Should I move down to EE3? Can I manage featured images in recurring events as desired in EE3?

Ok, but how exactly is that set up, with multiple datetimes in a single event?

EE3 is not getting any more development time other than security fixes, so I would not advise it, it really depends on what ‘recurring events’ means to you.

However with EE3 the recurring events manage basically loops over and creates multiple events in a group, each of those single events can have their own feature image.

You can create individual events within EE4 and set the feature image on each individual event, there also a duplicate button for events so you can create a ‘template’ type of event and keep duplicating that.

In addition to what Tony wrote, in EE4 you can set “defaults” to reduce the amount of work/time with adding new events. This does require a bit of custom PHP code, and the documentation has some examples:

https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/blob/master/docs/T–Tutorials/modifying-defaults-for-events.md

You can add the above to a functions plugin or into your WordPress child theme’s functions.php file.

If you can set some defaults you’ll find that adding a new event may only require setting the title, date, time, and the featured image.

Thanks,

Is there a way to port over customer info from shopify into espresso?

Hi,

I’m not aware of a way to do that. You could contact codeable.io for a quote for getting that done or for the development of a custom script built for that purpose.

Is there a way to import data via CSV?

How can Espresso be integrated with a POS system? Client using Quickbooks for books and Clover and want to be able to swipe a card and reduce a seat for a class from inventory.

Hi,

That would require custom development, and could make use of the REST API. I can point you to the developer documentation for the REST API:

Are there any built-in intergratinos for any POS system?
