Ok so I can’t find anything clear on how to set this up so here goes!

Our client runs a cookery school and has several courses that occur at different times each month.

What I want to do is to set up all of the specific courses with catagories set for each and then duplicate them within that specific event to save time for them having to set up each event separately.

I need to sort the workflow out so can someone advise…

Do I duplicate the event datetimes to reflect all the upcoming course dates within those events I have created?

If so how do I handle the tickets…do I add a new ticket’batch’ for each datetime?

Then for each ticket do I set the specific onsale dates or can I just have them onsale as a default until they are all sold?

Thanks!

I would use the Recurring Events Manager to create a recurrence series for each class if they are going to have different attendance rolls. Otherwise, you are going to run into problems with tickets, like you said. Here’s a quick screencast I made on how to use REM with EE3.

Hi And Thanks for this… I am actually using EE4 and can’t see a simple way of doing this…

Here is what I want to do..

Course A has several dates over 3 months. I want to be able to create those events and have ‘tickets’ available for those event’s. In EE4 do I add another date time and another ticket that is attached to that date time or do I just create a whole new event? In the latter example when you go into the event registration page it doesn’t show the upcomming events just the one you are in….if I add an addtional date time then it does show multiple upcomming events.

If I use the adding additional datetimes method on the registration form it gives them the option to choose multiple tickets for multiple dates which my client feels is confusing.

I am obviously missing something simple here any one help me out?

Hi Jonathan,

To follow with your question:

In EE4 do I add another date time and another ticket that is attached to that date time or do I just create a whole new event?

It turns out you can do either. If this is something where most people will only be registrering and showing up for one of the dates then it might be best to have one date time per event.
