Hey guys, I bought the recurring event add-on. When I go to create an event i see the area where it asks me if it is a recurring event and if i choose yes nothing happens… I have two things that I need to be able to do. 1-I have workshops that are 5 days but are delivered over two consecutive weekends. What is the best way to go about having those dates displayed? 2- I have workshops that have multiple dates. the same type of workshop could be delivered in March and then again in august…. what is the best way to show that? I see that there is the recurring drop down menu. but with out being able to access the recurring events add on i guess i can’t use this…. thanks |
Hi Jen, Here is how the recurring events manager add-on works: When you create a new event, an option will appear in the editor to toggle the recurring events option. If you do, then you’ll select the schedule that events should be created for. Upon saving, Event Espresso will use this event as a “template” and build out additional events based on the schedule that you selected. It sounds like part of the event editor isn’t loading. First, ensure that you are running the latest software including the core Event Espresso plugin and its add-ons. If the issue continues, then its likely a conflict with another plugin. Try re-testing with only Event Espresso and the recurring events manager add-on running. If it works, then reactivate a few plugins at a time until you determine the source of the conflict. — |

Ok I will try that. But does it have the capability to do the below…. 1-I have workshops that are 5 days but are delivered over two consecutive weekends. What is the best way to go about having those dates displayed? 2- I have workshops that have multiple dates. the same type of workshop could be delivered in March and then again in august…. what is the best way to show that? I see that there is the recurring drop down menu. but with out being able to access the recurring events add on i guess i can’t use this… When looking at the difference between EE3 and EE4 are some of the add-on in EE3 now includes in EE4? |
Hi, the recurring events manager works by creating an event based on a set schedule. For example, repeat event every Tuesday for 1 month. There is a tutorial here on working through the settings and getting setup: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/recurring-events-manager-add-on/ If your events occur on schedule that can’t currently be handled by the add-on, then you could use the duplicate feature which is available in the event editor. We have a template available for Event Espresso 3 that will show recurring events: https://eventespresso.com/product/recurring-events-drop-down/ There isn’t a recurring events manager currently available for Event Espresso 4. — |
