This part of the error message explains what’s wrong:

PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare espresso_version() (previously declared in /opt/wordpre
ssmu/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/espresso.php:38) in /opt/wordpressmu/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-free/espresso.php

What that means is you have both Event Espresso 3 lite and Event Espresso 3 premium activated on the same site. Event Espresso 3 lite should be deactivated and removed before you activate Event Espresso 3 premium.
