Hi, a pre-sales question. If I have an event that recurs at different dates or days every week, can this plugin still do the job? Thanks, |
Hi Ev, Is there a pattern to how they recur? If they follow a pattern it might be possible but if not you can always assign manual dates for a series to recur, here is a quick example with 3 events I have manually assigned – http://take.ms/9jOpS Manual dates aren’t as quick as using the automatic feature but still much quicker than individually recreating each event. Also to note the recurring event manager is compatible with Event Espresso 3, not 4. |

Hey Tony, That’s great. I’m happy to repeat them within the event instead of recreating the events. Do the recurring events appear in a table? Thanks, |
On the front end or within the admin? Within EE3 Recurring Events are basically just duplicate events with the date altered. Each event is an individual event and as such will display as any normal event. We have add-ons such as the Custom Templates Add-on wich can use the Recurring Events Dropdown Template to display the events in a table and list each instance of a series in a list if that is what you are looking for? |

Hey Tony, That would be in the frontend – something like this: http://www.warta.com.au/Dangerous-Goods-Bulk-Driver—2-Day.html We’re getting closer. When you say ‘in a list’ I hope you mean row-by-row, like in the link above. Do let me know. Cheers, |
The closest we have to that output is the Recurring Events Dropdown Template listed above. When I say a list I mean like this – http://take.ms/3DezA A recurring series can display each instance of the event within a list of dates, clicking on the date takes you to the event for that specific event. |

I understand that clicking on the date brings me to the event, but instead of a dropdown, i would like them listed row by row. Is this possible? |
|
Hi, If you use just the standard Custom Template Display addon, it will list all the events, screenshot: http://take.ms/dbHRN |

Awesome. Exactly what I need. Thanks, |

Sorry, forgot to ask – can the plugin be modified to insert a column that displays how many seats are left for the recurring event? |
Yes, the templates for the add-on mentioned above can be modified if you are comfortable with PHP/HTML/CSS? That functionality is not currently included within the templates so would need some custom development. There is no shortcode attribute to enabled an extra column with that information. By ‘the recurring event’ you mean the individual event within a series? |
