Receipts and mailchimp info not being sent

Hi there! We are having trouble with our email notifications not being sent. The receipt for user payments is not going to the admin email. Also when users register our mailchimp list is not being updated with that info. Any idea what could be going on? We have tried smtp email, and done email tests. Everything seems to be working except for Event Espresso mail. Thank you!

If the SMTP plugin uses a personal email account, then I would go with a free transactional email service instead:

The MailChimp add-on by default requires a registrant/attendee to click a link in an email to complete the opt-in process. What is the current opt-in settings in WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> MailChimp?

Hi there! So if I understand right. The user needs to click an option in an email to be added to the lists? If so that’s fine just want to clarify.

We don’t really want to switch the way we do email because everything else seems to be working fine. Is this a common problem with EE not sending out emails correctly, and if so is there another solution besides changing our whole email paradigm?

Yes, by default a registrant/attendee would need to click that opt-in link to confirm they would like to be added.

We do see some sporadic email issues being reported from time to time such as emails arriving in the spam folder or the styling being changed by the local email server and in both cases a free transactional email service has helped resolve the issue.
