Hi guys, After the recent upgrade of WordPress (3.8) and Event Espresso (3.1.36.1.P) the recaptcha is no longer showing up on some users’ registration pages. These are people without accounts, so there’s no issue with them being logged in. For me, the antispam shows up in Safari, but not in Firefox. This is a recently upgraded application, and I’m using the EE Multi-event registration (v. 1.0.5.p) addon, and the EE Social Media addon (v. 1.1.7.p). Website: http://tukifiesta.org Is there a way to use some other anti-spam method than recaptcha? I can’t debug all the user issues, and I’m not in a position to debug your issues. Thanks. |

Hi, I can see the reCAPTCHA on both Chrome and Firefox. What version of Firefox are you using? We do not currently have any other anti spam measures available. |

I’m using the latest Firefox on a Mac — but that’s not the issue. I’m getting multiple reports from my users that the CAPTCHA is not appearing/working for them. I need a work-around for them, not for me. At the critical time that people are registering for my event, they aren’t able to get past the registration screen and pay. Thanks, Bill |

Actually, I’m wondering if the issue may have been something else. We use this web site for an event that happens once a year. Last year, everything was working fine. Then after applying necessary WordPress and plugin upgrades, things were not working fine. I know that when I applied the last upgrade, I was locked out of the wp-admin area, and after taking the advice that I use CLI to deactivate all plugins, and then reactivate them one at a time — mysteriously everything worked. I also know that WordPress often needs to upgrade the database as well, and I’m wondering if something in this process disabled something with EE for a while. To sum up, it could be that everything is good with my install and EE now, but that there are some upgrade issues that need to be addressed for the future? Thanks, Bill |
Hi Bill, Can you please let us know what these upgrade issues may be? |

It won’t show up for me either in Firefox 25.0.1. It displays fine in IE and Chrome though. |
reCaptcha is designed to not display while you’re logged into the website. Can you check to see if you’re logged in or not when you view the registration page using Firefox? |

I was! Good catch. I logged out and all was fine. Thanks! |
