I am having a problem getting reCaptcha to work on the site at hvacrcomfortpro.com. I have reviewed the info here and here, as well as multiple other forum posts, all to no avail. When I test the registration form and attempt to advance to the payment step, I receive the error: “We’re sorry but an attempt to verify the form’s reCAPTCHA has failed. Missing “g-recaptcha-response”. Please try again.” Any ideas what I can try to get this working?

Hi there,

It looks like the site currently have reCaptcha disabled, can you re-enable it so I can take a look?

Right now I’m guessing you are using the Checkbox reCpatcha?

Yes, we had to disable it because people could not register for the events. We have the settings at Google as v2, Invisible. Settings in EE were:

Use reCAPTCHA: Yes

(Entered Site Key and Secret Key from Google)

Invisible reCAPTCHA Protection: Registration Form
reCAPTCHA Appearance Theme: Invisible
Invisible reCAPTCHA Badge Position: Bottom Right (but we also tried Inline)
Type: Image
Language: English (US)

Oh, we’ve also tried it with all plugins turned off (except Event Espresso + add-ons, of course) and it still didn’t work. We’re happy to make you a temporary user account so you can go in and troubleshoot, if you do that sort of thing. We just don’t want the registrations essentially non-functional for hours at a time between support messages…

Hmm, strange. I’ve seen that error with the checkbox reCaptcha but not the invisible unless I’m mistaken.

Sure, if you can send temp login details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

I’ll log in, enable the ReCaptcha and run a few test registrations then disable it again.
