We are considering purchasing a business license for Event Espresso. Our first concern is that we want to make it so that during the registration process for our event, that the person registering gets a WP User Account created for them in the process. Does Event Espresso allow us to do this?
Also, we run our forums on our website on VBulletin. We are looking to integrate our Vbulletin forums into a larger WordPress site to give us access to some of the many great features and plugins provided by WordPress, such as Event Espresso. Our concern however is that we need to build a bridge so that VBulletin and WordPress sync user information. We basically want it so that when a person signs up for our event, during the reg. process they need to create a WP account, and that this account would then translate over to the VBulletin parts of our website.
Do you have any solutions or suggestions for this? We are working on a program called VBsso(single-sign-on) but have run into some road-blocks.
“the person registering gets a WP User Account created for them in the process”
This doesn’t occur by default, though one of the developers has created a small function that can be added to your themes functions-php (or custom plugin if you prefer) to create a WP user on registration.
