We have had a few clients complete registrations for a specific venue but when they print their ticket it has a completely different venue.

It’s very random why does this happen and is there a fix for it

Hi there,

I’m not aware of this happening before, so I don’t know why it would happen. May I ask which message template is being used that has the ticket links?

Hello,

Usually, when there are sporadic issues occurring, then it is triggered by some form of caching.

From your feedback, that looks like the default ticket template rather than a custom one. That information is retrieved on demand so it should not randomly change.

Who is your hosting provider and were you (or are your currently) using any caching services (e.g. WP super cache, W3 total cache)?

The other angle that doesn’t involve caching is the context where the message’s ticket links are generated. I’m sorry I wasn’t very clear about what I was asking for when I asked about the messages with the ticket URL.

It turns out what I’m looking for is the actual message template that contains the link to download the tickets. For example, that could be the Ticket Notice message or it could be the Registration Approved message type. Is it one of those, or a different message type that includes the ticket link? Along with that, can you find the short code that’s in the message that displays the ticket link. For example it could be the [TXN_TICKETS_URL] shortocode
or it could be the [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL] short code.
