Sorry guys, the instructions in “https://eventespresso.com/wiki/quickbooks-payment-gateway/” just don’t match exactly to what I am seeing as an interface to generate the secret keys and all the other stuff (they seem to be created, somehow I did that, not sure all the bells and tiddles are checked though)… So I am at a standstill over the last three days of trying different things to move to the next step. The instructions seem based on an earlier version of the QBDev interface…I need clear up-to-date instructions that will allow me to hook up the payment gateway without all this trial and error and assumptions I am making and wasting a ton of time. We do have a merchant account with Quickbooks. I have a sandbox (again, somehow sort of interpreting the instructions with my divining rod) but cannot get it to work with the EE plugin… just on the edge of giving up. Thanks. I can provide a login if that will help via private message. |
Hi, I just went into my developer account at https://developer.intuit.com and the UI doesn’t appear to have changed since the last time the instructions have been updated. The instructions in the documentation mention the two types of Quickbooks accounts: The newer accounts use OAuth2.0 and the older accounts use oAuth1.0. The screenshots in the documentation show examples from an oAuth1.0 account, but the instructions explain what to do with an oAuth2 account:
https://slack-files.com/T02SY781D-FHS367RED-ec61e76bc1 There are also two sets of instructions: The first part, “Connect your Development (Testing) App to Event Espresso”, for the sandbox (they recommend testing with the sandbox before going live). The second part outlines how to connect to start taking real payments (production) and those instructions start under the heading “Create your Production (Live) App”. May I ask which step are you stuck on? I can follow up with some additional clarification. |

Hi, Which step are you stuck on? Usually we can work things like these out without getting admin access. You mentioned using the sandbox, are you using the sandbox credentials? If so, do you have “Debug mode on?” set to Yes on the Event Espresso > Payment methods settings page? It will help to know which step you’re stuck on. I can help clarify with further information. |

Step 7. I get an error. I get the error from Intuit that the URI is wrong. ??? |
Hi there, Go to Event Espresso -> Payment methods. Top right of the page has a ‘help’ tab, click that, then in QuickBooks settings. In that help page, it will give you the redirect URL that QuickBooks is expecting, what does it show there? |

Ok, so have you tried setting that full URI as a redirect URI, not just the domain name as shown in your image but all of the above? |
|
That’s the URL to input into that field. The other URLs you tried earlier do not match that URL. |
