Questions on ticket management and content display

Hi there,

Couple of pre-sale questions – The goal of my website that I’m creating is to sell tickets to events organised by different organisers/companies, some of which may already have existing ticketing solutions (either themselves or third-party). Because of this I would prefer to be as convenient as possible for them to take on-board. What is the best option here? I have read that EE4 has barcodes on tickets instead of QR codes, I imagine this would be a bit of a hassle to arrange since the organisers may need to purchase barcode scanners. What are the alternatives? And how exactly do the QR codes work, can they be used with a general QR scanner or do they have to be used with the EE app?

As someone who is still learning how to edit wordpress etc. A lot of themes I’ve been looking at or using don’t automatically display events that have been created on the front page, as they would say a post. What is the best way to have events displayed on the front page (if this is within your remit to answer).

There’s probably a few other questions, but I can’t think of them right now!

Many thanks!

Very typical “me”. Ask a load of questions and within 15 minutes find the answers to those questions. No need to get back to me on these, already figured out how to do it all through your forums 🙂

Hi Matt,

Were there any other questions that you would like feedback on?

Thanks

Lorenzo
