I updated to new version and the questions and qoustion groups that I created are disappeared! I wanted to modify one of my question group and noticed that all of them are gone! Please help

I just tested this on our sandbox site and nothing like this happened.
Are you running the Roles and Permissions addon? Are you logged in as a different user?

I am not using Roles and Permission and am logged in as admin. There is only one admin

I deactivated the R and P and questions are back!! when reactivate the R and P the questions disappeared again!!

Nothing was updated in the questions that would cause you to lose them. Do you want to try reverting to the last version?

That is strange. It could be that those questions were assigned the wrong user id. Do you see a link that says “All Groups” or “All Questions” when the R&P addon is activated?

Thank you for some reasons it was set to my group when I clicked to all group everything went back to normal. Thank you again

How can I make to stay at “all group” as default? each time I have to select the “all group”! Is it possible to set “all group” as default?

If all the groups are created by the admin, then the admin will have access to all groups.

when I activate the R and P plug in everything disappears and and I have to deactivate the R and P to see the questions

With the R & P add-on deactivated, re-save the questions+groups as the admin.

Go to Questions/Question Groups, click the Question/Question Group you need to re-save to go into the Edit screen. Make no changes, just click Save.

I don’t have a Save option! I just have the update option. I updated all questions and group questions and after activating the R & P all the questions disappeared again. And still I have problem for Update notification!!!:(

This was actually related to a server move as opposed to being specifically related to the EE update. The full thread is over here. After migrating servers, the questions and question groups became unassigned with the admin user. The data that was moved over had all the questions/question groups assigned to WordPress user ID 1 when the actual user ID for the admin user was 2.
If this ever comes up again (for you or anyone else), the two tables I edited to resolve this issue were _events_qst_group and _events_question and changed the wp_user value from what it was before (1) to the actual user ID (in this case 2) — this was easy to figure out since the wp_users table only had 1 user 🙂
