We are hosting our first one-day conference with several tracks of workshops. We are hoping to be able to sell tickets to the conference, and then have each ticket holder be able to log back into the site at a later time to register for individual workshops. Is there a way to do that with EE? We want only paid ticket holders to be able to register for the workshops, and only be able to register once. Ideally the system would let them know if they’ve made a scheduling conflict (registered for two workshops that happen at the same time), but I know that this functionality is not built into EE. Is it possible to allow only ticket holders to register for further events? The workshops themselves don’t have a cost associated with them; we just want to make sure that only ticket holders are registering for these space-limited workshops, and that they are only registering once. Can you help me? I haven’t found anything that can do this, anywhere.
We don’t have functionality that allows only ticket holders to register for further events. I suggest using a plugin like s2member and charge registrants to register for your site and restrict events to only those who have paid and registered for access to your site/conference. Then you can use Event Espresso to allow to register for the workshops.
Event Espresso does not have scheduling conflict notifications, but using the WP User Integration add-on, included in the Business License, you can use a shortcode to allow registrants to view which events/workshops they have registered for.
