Question Groups: What Happens to Response Data After Deleting Question Groups

If a Question Group is deleted, are the users’ answers submitted for those questions still available to be seen through the site for past events?

Example: Let’s say we delete a Question Group that was used in last year’s Walk-a-thon Fundraiser. When we look back at registrations for last year’s Walk-a-thon Fundraiser, will we be able to see how people answered the questions from the (now-deleted) Question Group?

Hi there,

EE won’t allow you to permanently delete question groups if the registration questions within them have answers assigned to them. It will let you trash them, but not perm delete, questions in trashed question groups won’t show up in the admin.

So to answer your question, no, won’t be able to see the answers given to question groups that you delete (trash) within the registration admin. It’s still within the database, but won’t be shown in the admin by default.
