Getting this during backups –
0016.912 (0) Table wp_esp_event_question_group: Total expected rows (approximate): 3131676
0016.914 (0) [Warning] Table wp_esp_event_question_group has very many rows (3131676) – we hope your web hosting company gives you enough resources to dump out that table in the backup If not, you will need to either remove data from this table, or contact your hosting company to request more resources.
Need information on how to purge that table because I am unable to do a Data Update
That’s a message from trying a database backup. The way the database migrations work is they’ll process the data in batches, so it’s not doing all the rows in one request.
Also, per that message, you could contact your host to see if they can temporarily bump the resources on the server.
If you purge that table you’ll lose all attendee data related to questions on registration forms.
We have space on the host. That isn’t the issue. I cannot upgrade to the latest level because it continually fails to update the DB while in maintenance mode and looks like it would take about 5 days to update that many records. We have an API that offloads all data to a subsystem so we do not need to maintain that data in any way past the date of the event.
There isn’t really a way to purge only parts of that table. So if you have any current or upcoming events with registrations, and you purge the table, you’ll lose all registration data.
If you do not have any current or upcoming events you could delete all events and their data, which is an option on the Maintenance page.
