1. Can you do a search for people who have done a certain course/event and email them specifically?
2. Do registrants get their own user account on wp and ability to login and see courses?
3. Is it possible to set a custom email to go out for specific events when people register or a few days before the event?

Hi there,

1. Can you do a search for people who have done a certain course/event and email them specifically?

You can filter down to only view registrations for a specific event, emailing them can be done but depends on the type of email you want to send.

To filter the registrations down go to:

Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations.

You’ll now see a list of Registration specific for the event in question.

What you do from there depends on the email you want to send, you could retrigger the registration messages clicking the icon in the actions column.

Or if you want to write a custom email, you can use the batch feature. Click the checkbox next to the registrant end then at the bottom of the list click the ‘Send Batch Message’ button.

A model will show with options on which email template to use. Add the details yo want and send.

Note that using the batch feature, whatever content you set in that modal will be saved within the selected template and show up when you select it on the next registration(s).

2. Do registrants get their own user account on wp and ability to login and see courses?

Not by default, no but we have an add-on that can do this:

3. Is it possible to set a custom email to go out for specific events when people register or a few days before the event?

Yes to both, although the latter is not a part of core.

You can create custom message templates and set specific templates on specific events, that’s not just for the registration based messages but any EE email.

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-create-a-custom-message-template/

Note that messages have multiple ‘contexts’ in which they are used, each of those can be edited independently, see:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-working-with-message-contexts/

Sending messages a few days before the event can be done automatically using:

https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-automated-upcoming-event-notifications/

Again those can use custom templates in the same way all messages can.
