All

I am building a mobile app in conjunction with a WP Developer. We are looking to offer ticket sales from both the website and the mobile app. Now I can see from the JSON API docs that I can access event information, but is there a way of creating ticket sales through my custom mobile app, that will then get a QR code back from the Ticketing Service?

Is there an API in place at all for Ticketing? Or would I have to write a custom RESTful API that manages ticketing (something I would like to avoid).

1 option that springs to mind is doing the ticket sales through the website (the site will be responsive), but I would like to save the QR code in the app rather than email it, so could I access the QR code that is generated in the email and save this somehow?

Any thoughts on the above would be useful before we decide to go ahead and purchase

We don’t have a way to register attendees using the app right now. It is on the road map, but we are too busy focusing on other priorities (customer sponsored features and Event Espresso 3.2) right now.

You could use the function that creates the QR (included with the ticketing addon) to output the QR code upon successful registration.

Hope that helps.
