QR Code size

Good day,

Could you please tell me if there is a way to increase the size of the QR Code?
On a default print(portrait) it is too small and cannot be read with the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). It is as if the device simply cannot focus on the code, especially in bad light conditions.

When I double the print size or set it to print landscape it reads it immediately. Problem is I will only see the printed ticket when the person rocks up at the event.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

It is possible to change the dimensions of the QR code. Event Espresso sets it to 135×135 in the ticketing add-on’s functions.php file on line 5. You can try changing it to 150×150 or even larger if need be.

Josh, fantastic! Thanks, it worked.
Using it at 320×320 works perfectly in even very bad light.
What I have noticed on my Samsung SII it can read that small size as the camera actually tries to refocus and makes it brighter by itself which the new generation Samsung devices don’t do.
Perhaps just a note of this for the future use of the app.
Another good idea perhaps in an update of the ticket system the choice of size if a user is going to create his/her own ticket templates.
Thanks so much for your help. You guys are champion!
