I feel like this might be super dumb question – but can our teachers use their phones to scan students tickets instead of having to buy all our teachers special scanning guns? We’d like to use this to track attendance obviously. AND as a side benefit, force our dumbass students to actually read their emails. Without the QR code, they don’t get in the door = to get the QR code they have to look at their email. This solution would kill two birds with one stone for us. It’s just that QR code scanners are expensive if you have to buy a bunch of them. Thanks again guys! |

Hi Shelly, Yes, they can use their phones using our apps: Android: iOS: Details here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/mobile-apps/ Is that what you are looking for? |
Maybe? The teachers get this app on their phones, and the students get the QR code and Bob’s Your Uncle? I mean… that information is then stored in the app? |
Not stored in the app no. The apps communicate with the site itself, in the same way the barcode scanner add on would. So you open the app, log into the site with the usual credentials for the site (NOT your EventEspresso.com credentials). Then you can scan barcode/QR codes and the app pings the site to confirm the scan etc. You can do a check-in on the registrant to show attendance etc. |
