We had two different person that tried to complete the purchase via paypal and both thought they have complete it while they were not complete it.
We investigated a bit and it seems they both went to the thank you page but without the payment being done so they mistakenly think they completed correctly the process.
We have tried to replicate the problem but we were not able to do that, we had no problems.
Do you have any way to check what was wrong in some way? We would like to avoid the problem happening again.

Have you checked your PayPal account to confirm if a payment was actually made?
The emails you included are the ‘Payment received’ emails, which mean EE received a notification of payment from your payment provider (in this case PayPal).
If you view the EE Transaction for the above registration, can you see a payment shown there from PayPal, if so what colour ‘status’ bar does it have and what does it show in the ‘Gateway Response’ field – https://monosnap.com/file/IG5miqwlud8suOXCEIsjMFzKiwe8YB
I’m assuming you have setup your PayPal Payment method to not use Debug mode and now use the correct PayPal credentials within the payment method?
The thank you page is missing information, are you hiding the additional tables using CSS or have you removed them from the page? There’s an ajax request sent from the thank you page to confirm the payment and update the Registration etc but if you’re not loading that on the thank you page, that isn’t going to happen.
