Hi,

Have an issue with how the promotions plugin is applying taxes.
Have an event that is $1200 + 10% GST with a 5% discount.

The discount is set to be applied before taxes, cost should be:

1200 – 60 (Discoun) + 114 (GST on discounted amount) = 1254

The taxes are being calculated on the original total not the discounted amount:

1200 – 60 + 120 = 1260 (incorrect)

Does not make any difference if I choose Yes or No for promotions Affect taxes.

Using the surcharge modifier is not a solution on the ticket as it does not display a GST breakdown which is required.

Any help greatly appreciated,

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

It should be totalling 1254.00 if you have the Promotions Affect taxes set to Yes in the Promotion’s add-ons settings. At least, that’s what I’m seeing on my site.

Are you sure you have the Promotions Affect Taxes option set to Yes?
