I’m really sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can’t figure out how to use the new feature for promotions that allows promotions to be applied to all future events. I have updated our promotions add on but I can’t see a place to select the new feature. We use the catagory of an event to select which events are elegible for which promotion code. Does this new feature allow us to tell event espresso to allow promo code to be utilized for all future events of a certian catagory?

No, the new feature basically sets a promo code to be available for all events without the need to select the promo code for that event.
If you go to Event Espresso -> Promotions.
Edit your promotion an you’ll find the option ‘Apply Promo to ALL Scope Items’ – http://take.ms/CfXn9
Set that option to Yes and update the settings to allow that Promo code to be used on all events.
