Is there a way to limit a coupon code per user or per role, ie: 1x or 1x per Subscriber role?
I also am wondering if there’s a way to auto apply the coupon through a link. I saw an old post on here, but it was back from 2014 regarding a way to do it. I wasn’t sure if that was still applicable.

Is there a way to limit a coupon code per user or per role, ie: 1x or 1x per Subscriber role?
Not currently, at least not without custom code.
The promotions are applied per event and for the above, it would need to hook into the process and check against the current user to confirm if they have used that specific promotion before. There are hooks within Event Espresso that would allow you to do that but you’ll need to be familiar with PHP and EE’s model system to work through that.

As much as I would love to say yes, currently not
The demand for this feature isn’t all that high and we’ve been heavily focused on other areas of the plugin. I’ll add your vote to our roadmap as we do keep track of feature requests like this.
