I might be missing something basic as it is my first coupon setup. I have added a coupon 50% off in the promotion code manager and try to apply it to one of the event(class) we have. In the event edit page, I enabled the ‘Allow discount codes?’ to ‘yes’ but still get an error message saying that the coupon is not valid or expired. I read that we can enable/activate a coupon per class but don’t see any coupons in the edit-event page; I can only see the ‘allow discount code’. Am I missing something?

In addition to selecting Yes, you also need to check the box next to the promo code that is allowed for that event. Otherwise you’re allowing promo codes, but haven’t defined which promo codes to allow. (Yes, this lacks a bit of common sense — if you’ve checked a box for a promo code it should probably be assumed that promo codes are allowed. Fear not, this is one of the things getting a bit of an overhaul in 3.2.) |
