Promotion can't be submitted after recent updates

I just updated to the latest Versions of Promotion (1.04) and Event Espresso (4.8.21 – it shows 4.8.22 is recent on the homepage, but my plugin says it is up to date?)

Now the “enter promotion code” text is missing during checkout (only a “submit button is there), and when submitting it shows an error.

Hi Boris,

Do you have MailChimp installed and activated? If so, can you update it to the latest version? If you do not see an update notification, please go to Event Espresso > General Settings and click Save. This should trigger an update check, and you should see an updating notification in the Plugins menu.

Ok, updated Event Espresso to 4.8.22

MailChimp doesn’t offer an update?

What happens now is that the button changed to “submit promotion code”. When the page is loading, it shows a “promotion” label above the textbox, but this label disappears after the page is finished loading (Chrome).
Error is still the same.

Hi Boris,

Since you were not able to update MailChimp, can you try deactivating it? Then you go to Event Espresso > Promotions > Settings, and re-save the settings. After you re-save the settings does the promo code field work?

Dear Josh,
Mailchimp is up to date (clicked on update, looks good)… are you talking of the mailchimp (free) plugin, or the event espresso mailchimp integration?
However, I deactivated both, clicked save – still the same error.

I’m referring to the Event Espresso MailChimp add-on.

Do you have any other EE add-ons active? If so, can you try temporarily deactivating them to see if that makes a difference for the promo code feature?
