I’m trying to come up with a workaround for unique promo codes – my client wants to issue a free ticket instead of a refund to patrons when an event is cancelled due to weather.
I thought we could use the Booking ID as the promo code by exporting registrations and importing directly into the DB.
Each would be limited to one use, but as per the limitation of the add-on; this can only be limited per event. As we don’t use multiple registrations, only one event can be booked per transaction, so therefore only one redemption can be made per transaction.
So the final step for this to work, is for the administrator to be notified of this redemption, then they can go into the CMS and turn off that promo code (hopefully before it’s used on another event).
I just need to work out how to notify the admin. Is there an easy way to do this?
I wondered about using the Registration Approved message, but would want this to only fire when a promo code is used. How would I go about doing this?
No, the import feature is still out a ways. Sorry, but I don’t have an estimated time of completion for that.
