I set up a promotion code to be used in our monthly events. We would like promo code to stay the same each month. The month before, I would like to set up a limit to the number of uses.
1. Once the month is over, can I add number of uses for the next month? Once the number is set for the month, can I change this number?
2. How does “per scope item” apply/ how is it used in this case? Can I apply x amount to October events, then x amount to November event?

The suggestion that I shared is currently how I would handle it as a limit applies against the promotion itself.
For example, if you create a promotion and set the limit to 30, then it would not be available after 30 uses.
To answer your other question, you cannot enter limits for each month ahead of time for a specific promotion.
