Processing Icon won't go away after promotion is applied

Once i apply a promotion to an even the status/process bar (in our case its a gear) will not go away it just stays on page and acts like it is still processing. When in fact it is done processing waiting for the customer to proceed to payment. How do i correct this?

Hi there,

It sounds like an error/notice is being thrown within the ajax call which causes it to break. Can you link me to an event and provide a temporary promotion code we can use to test this please?

I noticed there is suppose to be a confirmation pop-up window when the code is applied. The code successfully applies but the pop-up never appears. I am assuming that is the issue.

Looking over your site I can see there are multiple javascript errors being thrown – http://take.ms/lYr5K

The sites theme is loading 2 versions of jQuery, one from the theme itself – http://take.ms/eKoge

The other version, the core version that is included within WordPress – http://take.ms/ZyqXs

Loading 2 versions of jQuery is causes all kinda of issues and will be effecting the ajax call for the promotion code. What should happen is the theme should only load the version of jQuery included within WordPress.

Is this a custom theme or one you have purchased?

If you temporarily switch to a default theme such as twentyfourteen, does the promo code submit correctly?

The theme was purchased from ThemeForest.org. When i switched to twenty fourteen it worked how it is suppose to. I am not a developer is there anything i can do to the theme we are using to get it to work with event espresso?

Hi Orey, loading multiple versions of jQuery will cause some issues. Could you check to see if there is an updated version of your theme available from the developer?
