Process Transactions after Initial decline/PayPal Pro information was incorrect

After site launch, and numerous registrations took place, all of the transactions were declined. We came to realize that we needed PayPal Pro and not just the business account. The developer attempted to go in an “Apply Payment” under the Transactions section in EE- which caused them to read as “Complete”.

We now have the correct PayPal Pro API information in an have had a successful registration, but now we are curious how to go about reapplying the previously declined transactions that were attempted previously to having the right information.

As I mentioned before, the transactions say that they are “Complete” but we have yet to see the money appear in our PayPal account.

Hopefully I have explained this ok… I basically want to know the exact process (from the back end) of accepting previously declined/pending payments.

Hi there Charles,

If I understand you correctly, you started with a regular PayPal account and this was causing those transactions be be declined.

A team member has since manually updated them via your WP dashboard to completed.

If this is the correct order of events, then no funds will be received on those declined orders. To be more specific, Event Espresso does not store the credit card information so those orders can’t be automatically processed again.
