Process for recording transactions in Quickbooks

Hello,

I have just integrated Quickbooks with Event Espresso. Everything is working great, but I am wondering if I need to manually enter the transactions into Quickbooks after a purchase is made on our website. Or is there a way to do this automatically.

Hi Emma,

Is the payment in question made using the Quickbooks payment method or via a different payment method. If the former, then it will be automatically recorded in your Quickbooks online account.

They are using the QuickBooks payment method via our website. But I do not see the transactions in Quickbooks. I was wondering if I needed to upload them somehow.

Hi Emma,

You should probably contact Quickbooks support and ask them to see if your merchant account was properly connected to your Quickbooks online account.

I did contact Quickbooks about this question originally and the told me to contact you. If a customer calls with credit card information I am able to process the payment within Quickbooks. So I suspect that it is working correctly. Where would I normally find the Event Espresso transactions in QuickBooks? Is an invoice created? Or a Sales Receipt?

I’m sorry, I know very little about how Quickbooks works. Have you followed this guide for linking your merchant account to your Quickbooks account?
