Hello. I bought v4 and upon install and maintenance upgrade, it crashes my database and website repeatedly. So I need to downgrade back to version 3. I followed the steps and deleted all my tables and data from version 4, but I still get errors in my admin, and the calendar will not resolve and show the dates. I really need help I have spent hours already on this issue. Here is an example of error in admin: Warning: version_compare() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in …/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/espresso.php on line 1184 thank you so much! |
Hello, we can help you get back on track. First, could you let us know the version of Event Espresso 3 that is in use on your site? As a sidenote, the migration needs a current version of Event Espresso 3 to upgrade from. If your version hasn’t been updated in some time, then it may not work as expected. You mentioned that the calendar is not displaying so an old version of Event Espresso 3 could be causing this. — |

Hello Lorenzo. I am working with Version 3.1.36.1.P now. The errors dont seem to be there, but registration and calendar do not seem to work. Is this something you can help with? The calendar doesnt resolve, and the events list shows, but nothing on the registration page. Let me know if I can help with wordpress login info thank you!! |

Hey there, Can you try to rule out any plugin conflicts? Deactivate all non Event Espresso plugins and test to see if the issue is still occurring. If it is not, then we know it is a problem with another plugin. You can then find out which plugin it is by reactivating each plugin individually and testing to see if the problem starts happening after the activation. When it occurs after activating a plugin, then we know this is the culprit. |

hello! Well after deactivating the plugin we have good news and bad news, the calendar works, so I will figure out what the incompatibility is, but still have problems when I click the event. Is this the right shortcode for this page? http://sandamiano.org/retreats-programs/retreats-calendar |
Ah! I think I see the problem. Can you check your Registration Checkout page… click the “Text” tab of that page and make sure there are now

There were tags, but when I took them out there was still the same issue. It seems just that page is broken, from this link http://sandamiano.org/retreats-programs/retreats-calendar the event info comes up as a popup overlay here. Still when the single event page comes up it doesnt work. So grateful for your suggestions! |
Hi, There are some differences in the shortcodes between Event Espresso 3 and Event Espresso 4. Please change the shortcode for this page (http://sandamiano.org/retreats-programs/event-registration) to this one: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] Then save changes to update the page. You’ll also want to double-check that other pages have the correct shortcodes. You can find them in Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Page settings. — |
