Problem with Event and Registration Dates Fields

I ran into a problem with the Event and Registration Dates Field. I used the date box that pops open, yet the year does not show correctly. For example, instead of December 15, 2013, it displays December 13, 201.

I had to manually change the fields in the database to 2013-12-15 for the dates to appear correctly. Would you please provide a fix for this as it would be annoying to have to do this each time I need to create an event.

I captured some screenshots but where do I upload them?

Hi Marcel,

It sounds like you are on an older version of EE. What version are you on? You can upload your screenshots to your site and send us the link to the media file.

Jonathan,

I just purchased a 5 user license, so it should be the most current version. In addition, the Plugin is not showing that there is a “newer” version.

Hi Marcel,

The fix you are looking for may involve changing the theme or another plugin’s code. Event Espresso sets the date picker to output the correct date format. If another plugin or the theme has a similar datepicker calendar it is likely changing the format.

The way forward is to find the plugin or theme function that is adding this and make sure that it does not load in the Event Espresso event editor.

If it’s a theme conflict: You can rule this out by temporarily switching to the default WordPress theme.
If it’s a plugin conflict: You can rule this out by temporarily deactivating any other installed WordPress plugins.

Please let us know what you find and we can go from there.
