Problem with cancellation

We canceled an event. If we edit this event and save it again it is active again.
thats not good!
our solution is to edit the date so that customers no longer have to book.
but that is not the best practice.
Is there a solution that avoids having an active event after re-storage?

Hi there,

Cancelled events basically become drafts within WP and then filter the query to bring the details in, so when editing a cancelled event, don’t use the ‘Publish’ button (which will republish the event and make it live), use the ‘Save Cancelled’ button – http://take.ms/KZt0qf

The event will then remain cancelled when you update.
