Ive been using Lite version with great success for some time now. Upgrading to Premium license for access to various add-on modules. I have deactivated EE Lite in WP, but it WILL NOT download the Event Espresso.zip file to my dashboard. All the rest of the optional plugins have downloaded just fine. Help! Not off to a good start here.

Hi Blake,

Sorry to hear about your issue. Is it providing an error message?

Hi Blake,

I’m sorry about the trouble that you’re having with the zip upload. When you try to upload it, is there an error message saying that the file already exists? If so, you’ll need to deactivate & delete the lite version first.

Or, is there an error message saying that the file size exceeds the maximum file size limit? If so, you can increase the max file upload size or unzip and upload manually via FTP. Your host may also be able to increase the max upload size for you as well. We recommend ~ an 8GB limit.

No error message sent. Just “sending request to MY WEBSITE” with no connection. Will attempt to increase max file upload size to see if it is a size issue.

Josh … assuming you meant 8MB limit, not 8GB limit. I upped the max upload size to their max allowable of 192MB. Makes no difference. The evebt-espresso.zip file will NOT upload into the WP dashboard. All the rest of the plugin modules have uploaded just fine. I’m not thinking it is a file size issue. I’m not getting anywhere here.

Hi Blake,

I did mean 8MB, sorry about that.

Can you try manually uploading the plugin via FTP?
We’ve prepared detailed instructions on how to install using FTP here:
https://eventespresso.com/wiki/installation/#ftp

The other important thing to check is to make sure that the lite version has been deactivated before proceeding with the installation.

OK, so besides the giant P.I.T.A. that is ftp, I finally got the primary EE plugin installed. It shouldn’t be that hard to install a plugin.

So I am finally out of the starting chocks. Now, I have all the compatibility issues ahead of me yet to deal with!
