Hello,

I have set up event espresso with realex payment. After the transaction I am getting this message:
“Your transaction has been successful but there was a problem connecting back to the merchant’s web site. Please contact the merchant and advise them that you received this error message. Thank you.”

How can I fix it?

Thank you

Hi Rafal,

Have you contacted Realauth support and given them the response URL for your site? Is the response URL published? You can check which page is set as the Response URL by going to Event Espresso>General settings>Page settings under Notify URL (used to process payments).

I am not sure which urls send to realex ? Thank You and Return Payment page and used for cancelled payments ? Will those two do the job for realex?

They’ll ask for a referral URL, which is the page that has the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on it.

They’ll also need the Response URL, which is the page that has the [ESPRESSO_TXN_SHORTCODE] on it. That page needs to be publicly viewable too, so it would be a good idea to make sure you can see that page while logged out of the site. If you go directly to that page in a web browser, it should say ID not supplied if you have things set up correctly. Event Espresso adds those pages and shortcodes when you install it, but sometimes people don’t realize what they are there for and delete them.
