I’m not sure if this is a wordpress limitation or not, but when I click the “Duplicate this Event” button it duplicates some things but not others.

The one thing I would like to definitely duplicate is the “private” status of an event. Right now it defaults to Public.

What can I count on being “duplicated” when I use the Duplicate button? Is there a listing of the “duplicatable” elements somewhere?

Thanks!

Hi there,

As far as I am aware, the core event settings should duplicate but not everything, that function is intended to save some time when duplicating an event but it is expected that the event should still be ‘set up’ correct after duplicating. Other than the above, may I ask what is not duplicating? I’ll check if those should be duplicated as is.

There is a hook fired when an event is duplicated so you can change whatever you need to on the duplicate if it’s not doing so right now:

AHEE__Extend_Events_Admin_Page___duplicate_event__after

That is passed the $new_event and $orig_event allowing you to pull values from the original and set them on the new event if they aren’t already.
