Prior Attendee Data Not Associated w/ Event Following Site Move and WP Upgrade

I moved my EE 3 system to a new domain and an upgraded version of WP. It was on WP 3 and the new site I moved it to is using WP 4.1. Everything works after the move with the exception of viewing attendees to past events. I can see them in the DB but they aren’t showing up in WP. New registrations since the move work fine, however anything before the move won’t show up.

There was a notification from EE in the WP Dashboard saying “Event Espresso Attendee data needs to be updated…” so I tried running that script but it didn’t work. I have a copy of the DB before I ran that script and in comparing them, I think the script may have made it worse.

Again to re-iterate, the system is working fine for new registrations since the move, its just pulling in the old data that I can’t get to work.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for any help!

Also, when I update an event that has an additional question group associated with it, it disassociates that question group with the event. But then I can just check the box for that question group and update again and the question group is back. I think this just confirms that it has to do with the DB relationships and how they were changed in the WP upgrade. Please let me know if you need any more info or need me to expand on anything. Thanks again!

Hi, Event Espresso 3 data is stored in native WP tables along with wp_events_ tables. You would need to migrate the entire database for the information to be available on the new site.

A tool like Migrate DB Pro could be used for this.

Thanks for the response Lorenzo. The whole DB was migrated (maybe not correctly) because before moving to the new site, the old install was upgraded to WP 4 and thus the DB along with it. And again, everything going forward is working, I just specifically need to have this old data pulled back into the system. Does that make sense? So really I just need these attendee tables to be recognized in in the new system. I thought this is what the Attendee Data Update script was for but that didn’t work.

Hi, you would need to migrate the entire database over again as there isn’t an easy way to re-associate that information. Do you still have access to the old site?

The old site was on the same domain, but I still have access to all of the old files exactly as they were and also a copy of the DB. I could put this up in another location if that would help

Also in the support token I used, I provided access to the old DB before the site was moved.
