Printable Tickets for Admin

Hi,

I’m using EE 4.8.43.p with the latest version of the printable tickets add-on. We have a kiosk setup where ‘admins’ sell tickets to events and need the ability to print the tickets right there for the customers.

I need to add the Print Tickets link to the registration screen after the admin has completed a registration. Can someone please point me in the right direction to get the proper token ID to create a link to the HTML ticket?

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

The tickets would not be paid (within Event Espresso) at the time of initially adding the registrant/attendee.

I do understand what you are trying to do but please see this video which shows how to add a registrant and their payment:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/manually-add-registrant-wordpress-dashboard/#video

If you won’t need to actually add that payment information in Event Espresso, then the team member that is operating the kiosk could keep a browser tab open for the registrations overview screen (Event Espresso –> Registrations) and they could switch to that tab and refresh after adding a guest and they will be the latest entry in the screen. The ticket icon will be in the actions column which looks like this:

Hey Lorenzo, thanks for the reply. I totally get this method but this neither ideal nor very client/end user firendly. It would be a a bit of a nightmare in some cases. I see there are hsortcodes for ticket_url and txn_ticket_url. I’m trying to add the button/link to this template /event-espresso-core-reg/admin_pages/transactions/templates/txn_admin_details_header.template.php

I really just need to have this ticket URL available.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi there,

I can point you in the direction of looking at the code in the resend_ticket_notice_trigger() method in the ticketing add-on’s EE_Ticketing.class.php file. The code there is what generates the View ticket links on the registration and transaction list table.
