Is there a way to edit this to say “Invoice Number:” or is there a way to auto generate a invoice number instead? My accounting department needs to have a unique invoice number for tracking purposes.

Hi Kimber,
There isnt a way to generate an invoice number currently. YOu can edit the wording by editing the template.php file found in event-espresso/gateways/invoice/
In order to stop the changes from being over written by updates, it is advisable to copy the invoice folder to wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways.

I have edited that file however the changes aren’t appearing at all.

We can look into why it didn’t work if you can give us a few details. Which line of which file did you edit? What change was made?
