Price after discount to round to full amount

After redeeming a promo code, sometimes the after-discount price comes in decimal and it is more difficult to handle. Is there a way we can round it up or down to a full amount, by modifying a particular code perhaps?

FYI, I found the dollar discount isn’t applicable in this case as I want to offer a certain discount per ticket. For example, a 5% off a $90 ticket type. If you set the dollar discount to $4.5 instead then if you buy, say, 3 tickets, the discount amount would still be $4.5, instead of the desired $4.5×3 = $13.5

Or is there a way to make the dollar discount apply per ticket?

A little backstory about the dollar discount per ticket was that was in an earlier version of Event Espresso it had this, and it seemed like the majority hated it. So the current iteration of the promotions feature applies the dollar discount once instead of for each ticket.

As far as rounding transaction totals goes that’s not something that Event Espresso currently supports.

I understand the need for the dollar discount applied to the cart amount. However, I don’t think there’s enough samples there to conclude that is what the majority wants and likewise, to claim there’s too little demand for the discount per ticket. (At least from my experience, per ticket discount is the more popular.)

Anyway, it would be great if you could provide both the per-ticket and per-cart discount options. I think it makes sense and that’s how Woocommmerce does it.

The per-ticket-type promo code is also badly needed (right now there’s only per-event promo code). Sometimes we only want to give a boost to certain type of tickets, particularly ones that are underperforming. Right now we are forced to discount the whole thing which is not the point.

Thanks for your comments. There was an overwhelming amount of negative feedback about the way the discount codes worked before, but we’ll consider adding more options if and when the promotions add-on is slated for future features and updates.
