I have been looking for and events manager solution for us and I am thinking that Event Espresso maybe the one for us.
We are a Senior Centre with 80+ different programs that run weekly as well as single day events. Our current method of organizing this involves 2 separate “loose leaf binders”. The first binder is the “registration book” which keeps track of individual member registrations and payments.
The second binder is our “Venue Booking” book that keeps track which events and programs are booked into 10 different rooms that we have available. This book is primarily used by staff to 1) check up on what is taking place any given day or week and 2) To make sure that the “room” is free to book an upcoming event.
On to my question…
Can event espresso fill both these functions? In other words…
Is there a way to display a calendar that shows all the different events at once. i.e. for members?
and
Is there also a way to display a calendar for staff that shows what is taking place in the different “rooms” we have for that day or week?
I have gone trough your test site and believe the first one is quite straight forward but I am not sure about whether a “staff member” would be able to sort our what is taking place at our centre by “room” or “venue”
As you stated, the first one if pretty straightforward. You could use the calendar to display the events that are taking place.
As far as the venue, I think this could work with our shortcodes. You can display events on a page according to the venue. Then, your staff will be able to view what events are taking place when at all of the venues.
I hope this helps. Let us know if you have anymore questions.
