Premium options still not available after purchasing license

I purchased the single user license for Event Espresso and entered the license key into the General Settings -> Support License Key field but some of the options I assumed would be available are not. For instance, when I click ‘Registration Form’, I do not see an option to add custom questions. And when I click ‘Questions Groups’ it is still in preview mode. On that page there is an option to upgrade to the premium version and when I click the link I am redirected to my Event Espresso account which says I have already purchased the license.

Hi there,

The above means you have the ‘Decaff’ version of Event Espresso installed on your site, adding the key wont ‘unlock’ additional features as they aren’t in the codebase to unlock.

So to fix this go to your account page and download the latest version of Event Espresso from there. Save the .zip file somewhere you can find it on your machine.

Now on your site go to Dashboard -> Plugins.

Fnd Event Espresso and de-activate it (you can delete it), no EE data will be lost.

Then go to Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin.

Select the .zip you just downloaded, upload and activate.

You’ll now have the ‘regular’/full version of Event Espresso installed.

I went through the registration process again, re-adding the license key. Once I saved the information I was notified that I had entered a valid API key and instructing me to click the button to upgrade. I received message before and when I clicked the button, it said I already had the most recent version of the plugin. This time, it downloaded a new version of the plugin and notified me it was activated. I can now see the options that were unavailable before.
