Hello,

I am the web developer for a festival in my home town and we are looking to your plug-in to fill some of our needs. What we are looking to do is to allow the festival vendors to register for our event and book space for their booth.

Once the vendor is registered we would like their information published to the public side of the website with information on the company and what they sell.

My thought was to use various plugins for Event Espresso to complete these tasks. My thought was to purchase the Business License and the Ticketing Add-on (at a minimum) as well as any other add-on necessary to do what we need.

We are looking for your plugin to do three major things:

1) Vendor Registration
2) Allow the vendor to choose their location in the venue.
3) Publish the vendor list to a public page on the website.

I am envisioning using the ticketing add-on by assigning each seat in 5 foot contiguous increments (with a minimum purchase of 2 seats). There may also be a premium charge for “corner” seats.

Can the ticketing add-on force minimum seat purchases, and set “per seat” pricing?

Does the ticketing add-on have multiple “states” (open, pending, reserved etc)?

Can you force contiguous seat purchases ? (this isn’t a major item as we will have final say on location)

I may have more questions based on your answers.

Thanks

Mike Vos

Hi Mike,

How are you today?

We do have a seating chart add-on (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-seating/) that could probably be adapted for that purpose by changing some of the language (ie, “booth” instead of “seat”), but it is limited by displaying in horizontal and vertical blocks (levels, sections, rows, seats), and input to it is done via spreadsheet. You can upload an image of the actual layout to accompany the block layout that the user chooses from. With that method, you can not force people to buy two tickets at once (that I know of), and you’d probably have to update your static map.

I’m not sure you need the Ticketing Add-on: (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-ticketing/)

Thanks for the reply Garth. You are correct, I mis-stated ticketing when I meant Seating Chart. The limitations of the seating chart (limited to rows and columns) would not be an issue as we are selling space in a tent, so it would fit perfectly.

Can you price per seat with the seating chart or only by row?

Does the seating chart have multiple states per seat (open, pending, reserved for example)?

Does the seating chart have minimum purchase settings (minimum 2 seats as an example)?

Is there a demo version of the plugin that I can use, or a site where I can see a demo of it?

Thanks again.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Each seat/square can have their own price, yes. But they can only have one price. The seats only have available/unavailable (when sold), nor does it have a required minimum. Our demo sites are in transition right now but if you still want information we can find something for you.
